Preschool Graduation is such an awesome milestone for families. You want to make this occasion as memorable as possible for your parents and graduates. Your program has 6 or fewer graduates you can plan the best graduation program at your local Dollar Tree store. Many preschools will hold graduation in May or June of each year.
So let’s start Graduation Planning for Preschoolers
First, it is important to start planning your graduation beginning in January of each year or as soon as the items hit the store shelves. I would suggest meeting with K4 staff to brainstorm ideas including graduation date, decorations, invitation style, and program cover.
Second, you want to make sure that you have the graduate gift bags filled with fun. I would suggest items such as a summer theme(outdoor fun theme for the backyard or the beach). Dollar Tree has a list of fun items including the bags, tissue, beach balls, bubbles(graduate ones) and fun glasses.
Next, on some cute stationary draft a letter to all parents announcing the upcoming graduation date and time. Be sure to include other pertinent details such as graduate fees, how many invitations per family, picking up cap and gowns.
Lastly, a few more details for the big day, all available at Dollar Tree.
- Paper plates, cups, utensils, napkins(graduate theme)
- Balloons, streamers, aisle runner
- Graduation music
- Graduate Gift bags-present after ceremony
Now that you know how to plan graduation day on a budget, I would keep the event no longer than 1 hour for a small class. Below is a sample agenda:
- Prop * circumstance Graduate Entrance
- Students showcase what they have during the year
- Special words from you
- Introduction of Graduating class
- Closing remarks
- Presentation of gift bags upon exit
- Wrap up
Keep it simple! Not busting your center budget will keep the stress level down. Have fun and enjoy this awesome event with your graduates and their families!
